Bose Institute, Kolkata is a Central Autonomous Institute founded by Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose in 1917. This is one of the premier Scientific Research Institute in India and is fully funded by the Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Bose Institute, Kolkata invites applications from bonafide Indian Citizens for the following posts. The posts carry DA & other allowances as admissible to a Central Govt. employee posted in Kolkata, other than Pay Band and Grade Pay mentioned against the posts. PF and other retirement benefits will be regulated as per Central Government Rules. New Pension Scheme shall be applicable for fresh candidates as well as those who joined the Government service on or after 01-01-2004.

Pay Band + Grade Pay : PB-2, Rs. 9300-34800/- + GP Rs. 4600/-

Age : Below 30 years . (Relaxation as per Government of India Rules)
Essential Qualification :
 i) Good MSc. Degree in Computer Science
/ Application/ IT
ii) Three (3) years experience in laboratory work (Computer Science/ Application/IT ) in a recognized research institution / organization.

Desirable Qualification : Experience in operation and maintenance of computational lab. Shell script programming skills, exposure to Unix environment including serving as super user , exposure in networking and distributed computing ,knowledge in computer security, basic skills in web server design and database management. Red Hat certified Engineer or equivalent ITIL/ITSM/CCMP/CCNP/PMP etc. from a reputed institution.
